CPC:  The Canopy Piloting Circuit is designed to help educate, train and prepare canopy pilots for the Pro Swooping Tour, as well as, national and world level canopy piloting competitions. The CPC is broken down into districts with five competitions per district. Each district has an appointed organizer who is responsible for overseeing the competitions.

CLASSES: The CPC consists of a "rookie" and "advanced" competition class. All pilots are considered rookies unless they are issued an "advanced" status. Competitors who get invited to the CPC championships and finish in 11th through 15th place will be considered "advanced" pilots. Advanced pilots have the opportunity to attend PST Pro/Am meets and earn their "Pro" card by competing in all the Pro/Am meets throughout the season. Advanced pilots who compete on the CPC circuit against rookies will compete with a handicap and 5ft gates.

COMPETITIONS: Competitions will consist of six rounds which feature speed, distance, and zone accuracy following current IPC rules. The circuit is the competition arena for all pilots wishing to gain competition experience and turn Pro. Pro class pilots from the Pro Swooping Tour may compete in CPC competitions but will be considered “Guests” with no official score. Competition results will be determined by total score from each event. The points system in place will be tallied for all circuit members. Non circuit members will not be eligible for points tallying and a chance to advance to finals from their district. Each district determines their champions according to their own standings at the end of the regular season. Unless specified otherwise, the CPC season begins January 1st and ends on August 15th of each year.

CPC CHAMPIONSHIPS: The CPC Championships will be used to determine the best amateur pilots on the circuit. The top ten finishers at the championships will be awarded their "Pro" card and will be eligible to compete on the Pro Swooping Tour. Those pilots who finish between 11th and 15th place will be given a "advanced" status and will be eligible for PST Pro/Am competitions.

EDUCATION ON THE CPC: The PST will offer competition training camps to CPC members. For more info on education and training please contact us.

MEMBERSHIP: Membership will consist of a $50 annual fee, which will go towards CPC membership services and the CPC Championships. Membership will allow the member to compete in sanctioned events, training camps and to have their competition points tallied for qualification into the CPC Championships. Non members will pay an additional fee of $15.00 for competition and annual dues will not cover entry fees or jumps.

LICENSING: All competitors will compete in either the “rookie” or "advanced" class. Only the Pro Swooping Tour will organize Pro class events and the CPC Championships. All competitors will be given a competitor number that must be presented at each competition. The competitor number will be used for scoring and tracking a competitor's score throughout the season.
